The following Matchless L5 is a 1927 model withn original rims, and at some point in its life has had a restoration. The L5 runs very nice and is an eyecatcher. It just "thumps" along in any gear. The riding position is v ery typical of many of the advertisements seen of the period; upright with legs wide.
This Matchless L5 is one of the last Matchless flat tankers made, and also came in a 350cc version, although i personally haven't seen another 500cc; I am sure there are others though.
